Oxford Out, Pell City Champs

Despite a disappointing season, Gadsden City head coach Todd Lamberth watched his team finish with two-game sweep of Oxford. The first win put Oxford out of the playoffs and gave Pell City the area title.

*Cleburne County’s sweep over the Valley Cubs gets them into the post-season.

*The win gives the Falcons a tie atop the Class 1A Area 9 standings.

*Conquerors move to 15-4 on the season.

*Ranburne claims their 5th consecutive area title.

*Warriors clinch Class 2A Area 11 championship.

*Sweep earns Gaston the Class 1A Area 13 title.

*Yellow Jacket solidify the second spot in Class 3A Area 10.

Etowah 8

Albertville 4

*Etowah lives to fight another day with win over the Aggies. The runner-up slot in Class 5A Area 14 has them traveling to Cullman in the opening round.

Sand Rock 10

White Plains 4

*With both teams being tied for second place in Class 2A Area 12, this win gives the Wildcats the berth into the post-season.
