Saks Garners Top Seed

Thanks to an unbeaten start to the season, the Saks Wildcats have secured the top seed in the upcoming Calhoun County Baseball Tournament.  The Wildcats [6-0], who finished last in 4A Area 12 regular season play last year, return all but one starter for the upcoming campaign.

Gone is senior short-stop and leader Justin Foster, but leading the charge for the veteran Saks ball-club is senior catcher Caleb Bowen [pictured above].

The Oxford Yellow Jackets, fresh off impressive wins over 3rd seeded Jacksonville and 4th seeded Alexandria are the second seed.  The Yellow Jackets, who have played to roughest schedule to this point, will take on Anniston in the first round.
